Assessment tasks are set in the central IT function of Ridgeline Group. Learners take the role of an ICT Support Officer who evaluates the group's intellectual property, helps improve its policies, and reviews real risks and incidents. A populated IP and Software Asset Register includes deliberate issues, an over-deployed licence, an unattributed open-source library, an unregistered product name, satisfying the unit's "IP case studies" requirement.
The whole assessment is contained within the simorg, with an own-workplace option also provided.
