A plain-English roadmap of what I produce, what your team does, what’s included, and what’s never in scope.
I’d rather show you the work than hand you a price list. Name a unit you’ve been meaning to redevelop and I’ll build part of it, learner guide or assessment, and send it over. Free, no obligation. If it lands, I work out what the real job is and put options in writing, scoped to what I find. Then the pipeline below delivers it.
This is the full pipeline for a new build. I run the stages your project actually needs – but within them, the rigour is fixed: QA and compliance checks are never cut for timeline or budget pressure.
Your team is only ever responsible for review and delivery. This is documented in the SOW and applies to every engagement.
| Task | Learnbuilt | Your RTO |
|---|---|---|
| Parse the training package (PC, PE, KE, FS) | ✓ I do this | Not required |
| Write the learner guide and assessments | ✓ I do this | Not required |
| Build the simulated organisation | ✓ I do this | Not required |
| Produce the QA report | ✓ I do this | Not required |
| Human moderation review (Stage 07.5) | ✓ Expert human review, every unit | Not required |
| Format to branded DOCX and HTML | ✓ I do this | Not required |
| Contextualise to your specific learner cohort | I configure to your brief | ✓ Your SME may refine further |
| Subject-matter expert review and sign-off | Not my role | ✓ Required before delivery to learners |
| Validate compliance with your TAS | Not my role | ✓ Your RTO’s responsibility |
| ASQA audit relationship | Not my role | ✓ Solely your RTO’s |
| LMS upload and course setup | ✓ Included (post sign-off) | Provide LMS access + delivery check |
| Absorb all AI and production costs | ✓ Included in your project price | No additional cost to you |
Clear boundaries protect both parties. These items are not in scope for any project, regardless of what is quoted.
Every engagement follows this structure, regardless of how many units are in scope.
SOW signed. Deposit paid. I gather your brand configuration and confirm your simulated organisation – if you already have one, I work with it and add to it as units are built. Stages 01–08 run as soon as brand config is received – typically within one business day.
10-stage pipeline runs for every unit. I produce all text, assessments, simorg documents, and the QA report. I target one unit per day – you’ll usually receive output faster. Files land in your Google Drive as each unit completes; you don’t wait for the whole project to finish.
Your named subject-matter expert reviews the materials, requests any minor corrections (included, and I work through them until you’re happy), and provides written sign-off. The balance invoice is issued on Stage 1–8 delivery. Sign-off directs me to schedule your LMS upload – within 60 days of delivery.
On receipt of your written sign-off and LMS access credentials, I complete Stages 09–10: Canvas-ready HTML and LMS upload. Your team does a final delivery check, then releases materials to learners. The compliance relationship stays with your RTO throughout.
Quoted as options in writing once I both know what the job is, not estimated before anyone has seen anything.
There’s no fixed price list, because a unit built from scratch and a compliance rebuild of someone else’s work are different jobs running on the same machinery. A list price would mean overcharging half my clients and underquoting the rest.
So I build you a free sample first. If it lands, I scope the real job and send you options in writing, all deliverables included, no hidden costs. New clients begin with a foundation build: it stands up your configured system (brand, simorg, assessment approach, templates, LMS) and proves it across two deliberately different units. Everything after that plugs straight into it.
Send me a unit →In-house benchmark: $7,900–$10,400 per unit (all-in salary, super, leave, tooling, and overhead for an L&D team producing 12 units per year). A Learnbuilt project comes in at a fraction of that.
Name a unit you’ve been meaning to redevelop and I’ll build part of it, free, so you can judge the work before anyone talks about scope. If it lands, I map your content, learners and scope, then you get a proposal with options – you pick, and production begins. New clients start with a foundation build: your simorg built, brand applied, two complete units.
Honest, practical pieces on VET materials, compliance, and where AI actually helps.
